Ed Furey, CEO and Manager of Furey Advisors LLC, has more than 30 years of experience in real estate, accounting, financial services and risk management/insurance matters.

During his three-decades-long career in Central Florida, Ed has honed his business skills and well-rounded experience while serving as Vice President of Finance at Orlando Central Park, Inc., Finance Manager at Lockheed Martin, Controller, CFO, COO and then CEO and President of the Dr. Phillips Companies and most recently, CFO of a privately held real estate and investment group. Ed founded Furey Advisors in 2014 in order to offer the benefits of his years of experience to assist businesses that may struggle with the sometimes confusing areas of financial operations, real estate logistics, insurance and risk management.

Ed has a thorough understanding of the issues that businesses and individuals face on a daily basis—from the valuation of an acquisition in a real estate transaction to bankruptcy - debtor or creditor assistance to tax assessments and insurance coverage reviews and recommendations. Ed has earned a reputation of being one of the most trusted and well-respected advisors in these areas of expertise in Central Florida.

Ed is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Real Estate Sales Associate’s License. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida. He also served as a board member of various charities in Central Florida throughout his career including the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, Dr. Phillips Charities, Junior Achievement of Central Florida, The Central Florida YMCA, Florida Citrus Sports, the Orlando Science Center, Southeastern Council of Foundations and the Rotary of Club of Orlando. He has served local government in various volunteer positions.
